pond now two weeks old - formed after 2 ins rain very good: caddisfly larvae, fairy shrimp (big and tiny), scuds, backswimmers, boatmen, diving beetle, water strider, mosquito larvae and pupae, chironomid, note that fairy shrimp missing from list so entered as freshwater shrimp Pond was abuzz with these - large and very small. Also tadpoles 60 of them in sample about 1 cm long so far.
