Waterwatch Victoria and regional programs have developed a range of resources to support environmental educators.

  • Explore Estuaries with your students with this fabulous Teacher's Guide to Victorian Estuaries which includes backgrouond information, lesson plans and activities

  • Get the Museum to come to you with a Museum in a Box. Museum in a Box is an exciting outreach program for educational institutions across Australia. There are over 30 different boxes containing real museum specimens, casts, artefacts, dioramas, images, DVDs, CDs, books and resources
  • Run of the River is an interactive board game designed for upper secondary students to help convey understandings about environmental flow issues in relation to river health. Download the boardgame and the supporting teacher's notes can help you deliver it. You will also need the "How to play" sheet, People Power Cards (level 1 and level 2), Waterways Cards (level 1 and level 2), play money and Water Licence.
  • River Reflections is an integrated unit of work exploring the theme of the past, present and future concepts of rivers. It is a package of class-based material for upper primary school levels and encourages students to focus on their local stream. River Reflections consists of a package of three posters of images and activities accompanied by a booklet of teacher's notes which can fit into a range of areas including Art, English, SOSE and science.
