To celebrate World Environment Day (June 5), Melbourne Water is launching a Litter Prevention Toolkit!
Designed in collaboration with BehaviourWorks Australia and Shannon Behaviour Change, the toolkit draws on behaviour change research and insights from a community forum to empower local councils, community groups and organisations to tackle litter!
Championing the ‘Bin it or Bring it Home’ tagline, the toolkit promotes litter prevention behaviours through clear, universal messaging. The toolkit’s visual assets highlight how littering in urban areas directly harms our waterways and wildlife. The toolkit includes:
- Semi-customisable posters
- Social media post templates
- Bin decals and floor decals
- Litter prevention discussion guides
Following the launch, the toolkit will be available for download from the Melbourne Water website for implementation in local areas
