Other litter: Balls Drinking straws Broken Glass. In the pit drain there were: Polystyrene balls Polystyrene boxes Plastic bottles pens balls. The froth/foam were below the dam wall. There was a smell of rotting vegetation at the sampling site near the upstream drain. Still there: Bits of concrete, (the large piles have been removed.) Rubbish on the ledges,(dam area.) Montbretia weed. There are weed trees growing in the waterway --- Box Elder, Willow? another tree downstream from the bridge. Streamside vegetation flattened after higher water level earlier. Smell of paint, and a silvery deposit beneath a tree, at the top of the bank opposite Nerreman Gateway houses. Lots of litter/rubbish from Nerreman Gateway to Meruka Drive between the Karingal Yalloc and Karingal Drive. BIRDS: Chestnut Teal Wood Ducks P.Black Ducks Crested Pigeons Rock Doves Rainbow Lorikeets Magpies Ravens Pied Currawongs Kookaburra Noisy Miners (The small birds seen last month in the cumbungi were White-browed Scrubwrens.) There was a Striped Marsh Frog calling (poc,poc.)
