This sampling was done because there was a plan to return the following Friday with some Uni students and there was an expectation of rain before then. I wanted to do the Phys/Chem tests and macroinvertebrate sampling before the rain as a comparison. As it turned out we could not use the same site on the Friday as the water level was too high.
When I did the EC testing the meter showed an error which I only later realised was an "Over reading" message. I took the water sample home and tested again once I realised the problem. The reading obtained with the Eutech meter was done using a 1:1 dilution with distilled water. The reading with the Eutech meter was 3160. Later I tested with the Horiba meter using an undiluted sample and obtained the higher reading. I used the Horiba meter reading in the results as I suspect it is more accurate.
Unfortunately it had rained before I did these tested so I was noyt able to go back and take another sample to check the results
