There has been heavy rain over the last few days and the Gola wetlands are full of water. Birdlife has been very sparse for this time of year with only a few ducks and a family of Swans which I'm fortunately have lost three singlets from the brood of four so there is only one left. They have been nesting on the banks of the island in the middle hence probably at risk to predators such as foxes.
