In the pit drain there were 8 plastic bottles, 1 aerosol can, 2 balls and a few polystyrene balls.

Water level had been much higher, indicated by a line of rubbish along the bank.

There had been a fire beside the creek (9th Feb.) 200m downstream from the site -- high flames -- attended by 2 fire trucks.

It began to rain half way through our monitoring then water flowing over the dams became 'moderate' and 'foamy, frothy' below the dam wall. Small amount of water flowing from the drain close to where the sample was taken.

A tall Candlebark? (eastern bank) has fallen.

Creekside weeds have grown considerably since last time.  Montbretia weeds spreading.

Weed trees in the Waterway.

BIRDS:    Mudlarks    Noisy Miners    Rainbow Lorikeets    Pied Currawongs    Pacific Black Duck.

FROGS:    Marsh frogs calling (heard later in the week).
