Fine, high thin "horse-tail" cloud. Estuary open, low tide. Colour tinged tannin. No odour, flowing. Red/rust coloured "flocs" lining creek bed. Water flowing over top. Iron oxide leached from soil? The "flocs" extend from the tidal salt/fresh interface up the stream/creek as far as I am able to see. Similar deposits can be seen at other drainage points in the Mallacoota area - Develins Inlet and into lake system at bottom of Karbethong Hill and Mullet Creek. Deposits at Double Creek more persistent and extensive. (While the photos (refer to hard copy) were taken 23/04/11 the condition remains the same for DOU060, not so pronounced for DOU080 and DOU090-though still no fish activity evident).
