Bottom of the lake had dark smelly mud, three metres in and around the edges which when disturbed by walking, oozed a black smell into the water. Aquatic vegetation mostly dead. Algae present around some edges amongst rushes, thick green/yellow in colour. Swans, Eurasian Coots, ducks and swallows present.
