High tides and strong winds caused major flows of seawater into the lower part of the creek the previous day to form a shallow lake. Rainfall overnight diluted the seawater and by the next morning (27th April 2009) the creek filled up and came close to flowing back into the sea but did not actually do so. Samples were taken at this time at 10am.
