Rate of flow much faster at 10:15am Waterway width had increased to 10.6 by 10:15am Turbidity measured at 10:15am: sample was diluted 1:1 it then measured 300 and was multiplied by 2 to estimate actual turbidity as 600. Increase in stream width and depth since last monitoring What stands out about the site today? Sudden increase in flow. Branches were blocking flow at first, then many broke away and were carried downstream with previously trapped rubbish. Water carrying lots of plant debris, then medium sized branches as flow increased. Black duck and 2 young struggling against the flow. Calystegia in flower along banks. Checked Yarra/Diamond Creek confluence 2-1-2010. Lots of dark silt debris and rubbish entering Yarra.
