observations -sunny, rained 38.1 mm during last week, moderate but permanent flow. Water flow in above bridge stopped on 17/11/09 and the flow returned on 23/11/09 after 48.6 mm rain in previous 24 hours and the start of the ccma release from Lal Lal. Water almost clear but slightly stained brown. Water level rose to peak 266 mm higher than on 8/11/09. on 25/11/09 after ccma environmental release plus rain now at 154 mm above from 25/11/09 levels. 2-5 m wide. Drainage from road runoff functioned well during recent good rain. Hazards - Snake sunbathing at waters edge. Photographed it and waited for it to move away. Litter: paper, packets, bottles, cans highlight of the day - echidna swam across river just metres from where I was monitoring
