Observations: sunny, rained during the last week 23.0 mm, permanent water flow, >1m wide several cm deep. Brisk flow over sand bar above bridge and slight flow along west band groove. Clear water appearance - very clear - underwater vegetation on far side clearly visiable. Depth went down 13mm from 9/8/09 anf 19/8/09 then rose with reasonable rainfall in late august to peak 96mm above 9/8 level on 1/9/09. today level down 11mm from the peak. Width 2-5m. Dug out drain round back of carpark functioned well during rain period. No flow now. Little rubbish today but I have cleaned up masses from both sides of river during past month, including broken chairs, pillows, bbq plate, unopened stubby. Paper, bottles, cans. Turbidity, clearer than usual - looks great!
