An unsightly white surface scum has accumulated below the bridge. It may have come from the large drainpipe from the East, ie from Kingsway via Bogong Reserve. (There is a fine white residual line on the inside of the pipe, 3 cm above the present level, and some 15 cm reflective patches can be seen in the pool just below the drain. Scotchmans Creek upstream of that drainpipe appears entirely free of this scum.) A large amount of litter was deposited on the banks by the recent near-flood flow.
