Observations: Teacher: Mr Bowers. Riley, Andrew, Tamara and Megan School Dam - where sheep have access to. There are lots of trees, plants and native animals around the dam, there is green grass and reeds in the water. Dam has recently been flushed with fresh water and has watermites. Habitat Survey: Tree and Plant cover on bankc - 2 Tree and plant cover on verge - 3 In-stream cover - 2 Bank erosion - 3 Rating- 10 Observations: Our school dam has lots of birds like swamp hens, coots, pacific ducks, chestnut teal, wood ducks, plovers and ibis. There are lots of reeds in the dam and a grassy island. Lots of native trees and rushes on the bank. The dam has filled up with storm water and water from roofs of classrooms. Photos supplied.
