Despite recent rains, flow is quite low and surprisingly seems less than Stoney Creek. Factors could include nature of headwaters (Coliban River having a very broad headwater area with many swampy areas), more rain from the recent event falling over the Stoney Creek catchment compared to the upper Coliban catchment, and some overflow contribution from the Golf Club reservoir into Stoney Creek.
