The foam was at the bottom of the dam wall, not upstream.

There had been a heavy downpour 6/7/8 November, 49mm.  Creekside vegetation flattened, bank undercut in some places, silt deposited in other places, extra rubbish left in dam wall crevices --- all indicating higher water level and faster flow.

Large area covered by Creeping Buttercup in flower.

Two turtles spotted swimming, upstream from the dam wall.

There is a record of a Platypus in the creek, opposite Coolabindi Close --- seen by a local artist.

BIRDS:    Kookaburra,  Rainbow Lorikeets,  Moorhens,  Mudlarks,  Magpies,  Noisy Miners.  There was a line of Wood Ducks at the top of the dam wall, then later, a line of Pacific Black Ducks, with one concerned about a tiny duckling in the water at the bottom of the wall.  Chestnut Teal were seen earlier in the week.

Good News, we saw a small bird again at our monitoring site, but it flew too quickly for us to identify it.
