Flow was slow at first but then it started to rain heavily whilst we were collecting our waterbug sample.  Flow then became rapid, with water cascading over the dam wall --- patches of foam flowing downstream.  Water was pouring out of the upper drain.  The water was only foamy after the rain started.

A walker said that he sees the male Kangaroo most mornings, (see last month's notes.)  He mentioned that a female Kangaroo was killed on close-by Karingal Drive last week.  He had also seen a Rat near the dam.

Cumbungi is starting to shed seeds.

Lots of seeds on all the weed Montbretia plants.

Pieces of a dead Duck beside the indigenous plantings.

Condition of the stream bed has changed --- muddier where gravel used to be.

A Spotted Marsh Frog was calling.
