The swamp has good flows running into it during the week which aided in topping it up. The water's edge had crept inland by 1 metre covering half the grass. Backswimmers and Diving beetles can be seen around the swamp and their activity is high. Young Moore Hens, Pacific Black Ducks and Swamphens are busily nesting, and have produced a number of youngsters. Several Latham Snipe were also noticed flying across the water. No physchem sampling completed this time.
