Evidence of pollution - an oily substance floating on surface. Under story vegetation is dying most likely due to poisoning of gorse. Note from KJH - could the oily film be from decomposing organic matter in the water? KJH amended EC to 3800uS/cm as typo with entry. Site is never in the 400 EC range. Very salty site. This result would show on meter as 3.80 mS/cm and decimal point not noticed.
