When will Waterwatch data be included on the Victorian Data Warehouse?
Find out how Waterwatch Victoria plans to make community-collected data available online in 2005.
Waterwatch Victoria aims to have Waterwatch data available on the Victorian Data Warehouse beside professionally collected data by the end of 2006.
In 2001, Waterwatch data from the Goulburn Broken region was loaded onto the Data Warehouse in a one-off transfer. Since that time, Waterwatch Victoria has been working on a strategy to make more Waterwatch data available alongside professionally collected data.
Much effort has gone into developing minimum data confidence guidelines and updating our regional databases and transfer mechanisms over the last few years. This has occurred to ensure that Waterwatch data uploaded onto the Data Warehouse in the future is of known quality and in a format that can be uploaded easily and regularly into the datawarehouse.
Waterwatch data is still available from regional Waterwatch databases. Please contact your local Waterwatch Coordinator to discuss your data needs.
