East Gippsland Waterwatch Education Resources
Gippsland's Environmental Education Resource
East and West Gippsland Waterwatch have developed a regionally-specific education resource to highlight these natural assets and their management.
Gippsland's Environmental Education resource was developed in 2005 by West and East Gippsland Waterwatch, and funded by the Victorian Government through the Gippsland Lakes Future Directions and Action Plan under Our Water Our Future.
The resource is a comprehensive source of information on topical environmental issues across the Gippsland Lakes catchment with local case studies, maps and diagrams featured. It is primarily aimed at Middle Years (5-8) Humanities & Science teachers but relevant to anyone with an interest in the environment.
Features include: teacher information sheets, student activities, curriculum tables, themed posters, student activity worksheets and glossary. The six themes featured are: Atmosphere & Climate; Biodiversity; Landscapes; Coasts, Rivers & Lakes; Heritage, Culture & Communities; and Sustainable Development.

East Gippsland Education Trailer
The eye catching bright and colourful Waterwatch trailer was built in mid 2004. It is a Waterwatch travelling road show, including concertina doors that fold out with heaps of display room, tables and storage space. Specifically designed to be a fast and effective set up; it also stores most of the Waterwatch equipment. It is commonly used at schools, markets, field days, QA/QC days, macroinvertebrate training, environmental expos and many other events. More information can be obtained by contacting East Gippsland Waterwatch staff.
